4L2 MSWJR 4-4-0 Original Version

Nine locos were built between 1905 and 1914 by North British. Numbers 4 and 31 had twin domes. The class worked on the Midland and South Western Junction Railway until takeover by the GWR in 1923. After this some engines were superheated and six were rebuilt with GWR taper boilers (See Kit 4L3). Unrebuilt locos were withdrawn by 1935. Our kit is in etched brass and nickel silver, with pre-cut brass tube for the boiler. Fittings are turned brass or cast whitemetal. Wheelsets, motor and gearboxes are available (See options)
