7L20 MSWJR 2-6-0 Galloping Alice

In 1895 Beyer Peacock delivered a 2-6-0 to the Midland and South Western Railway for freight service. Built to the drawings of a class of locos supplied to the New South Wales Government Railway in Australia, it was so successful a second loco was delivered the next year.

The first loco, No.14 hauled freight until 1913. The second loco, No.17 lasted until the grouping in 1923. The GWR heavily rebuilt her with replacement GWR boiler, cab and tender. The rebuilt loco cannot be built from this kit!

The kit has etched brass body and tender with etched nickel silver chassis to build either loco. For No.14 some parts will need to be shortened on marked lines. Most fittings are in lost-wax brass or nickel silver. Sprung buffers are included. Motor, wheels, gearbox, paint and transfers are needed to complete and we can supply most items.

We can supply a 'stripped down' kit for Australian modellers of the Z25 class. Please email your interest.
