Etched brass kit. In 1909 the Metropolitan Railway refurbished a number of their eight wheel coaches to extend their life. From 1911 onwards most of these were sold to other railways. Because in photographs they are almost indistinguishable from full thirds it is likely that some went to the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway, Rhymney Railway and Isle of Wight Railway.
